About Ten Thousand Steps Tours London

Our core values are founded in promoting a good walk, good health and happiness

10,000 Steps Tours was founded by Nicholas Claridge, a born-and-bred Londoner with a lifelong passion for walking and exploring the city. Drawing on his career as a drama and English tutor supporting young people in London who were experiencing life challenges, Nicholas witnessed first-hand the powerful impact that walking could have on improving both physical and mental health.

Inspired by these experiences and sharing London over the years with his many international friends, he created 10,000 Steps Tours to combine the benefits of movement, mindfulness, and discovery — encouraging people to “get their 10,000 steps in” while uncovering the real London, its hidden corners, secret stories, and everyday beauty.

Each walk offers an authentic and restorative experience — healthy for body and mind, and perfect for discovering places you’ll love sharing with friends. A portion of the profits from 10,000 Steps Tours helps to fund Nicholas’s ongoing work with young people in London, continuing his mission to support wellbeing, confidence, and connection through creativity and exploration.
